Robert’s work in the Kimberley has focused on listening to Indigenous voices, and as part of the Boab Network, responding to a variety of concerns from Aboriginal health issues, governmental policies, Aboriginal rights and Native Title.
Robert’s Vision
To listen and respond to that Kimberley voice which has often been depreciated or rejected, namely Aboriginal land rights, sovereignty, self-determination, cultural identity and care for the welfare of future generations.
The book Return to Majaddin: A Kimberley Homecoming will be launched in the Mowanjum Arts Centre (off the Gibb River Road) at 1 pm with refreshments to follow.
For those in Broome, Robert will be present to sign copies at Kimberley Book Store between 11 am and 2 pm.
The book will be launched in Perth, too – details will be provided soon.
The launch of the book in Melbourne is planned the St Kilda Uniting Church at 10.30 am.
